I decided that today was the day to tackle the issue of the stone chips in the windscreen.
Cut the old screen out no problem, cleaned up the screen panel which was in good condition. Already fitted the new screen rubber so pop the screen in, ten minutes and it will be done!
Started one side, went to do the other side and before I even touched it I heard a small crack and the other side a mysterious crack appeared, bugger!
Only option was to put the old stone chipped one back in.
Got that back in, had about a foot to go and, yes you guessed it, that cracked where the stone chips were. Trouble is the screen was completely busted so took it out and fitted the cracked new one again. Went straight in no problem, typical!
All in all a great day achieving nothing!
