Well it's 04:18 in the morning and I can't sleep, purely because I started the engine up again but this time all is well and sounds sweet as a nut.

The down side to this is, I'm all excited about my next course of action and cant sleep!!! So I have found myself back on the laptop reading forums galore and sourcing parts.

I thought I would take the time to say a "big thank you" to all who have contributed to help me get this far, I'm guessing at this moment of time my missus doesn't appreciate your help..... given the fact I have probably woke her up getting out of bed!! But none the less I do:)

Well I’m only over the first hurdle, so unfortunately for you guys I’m not going anywhere... plus you seem like nice bunch of people, so I’m planning on sticking around even when I finally do get it completed

Morning Tom. You did remember to put the eggsauce on before you started her up ... didn't you?? ;);)
Now you can wake up yer missus by getting back into bed and celebrating together, even though it's mid-week! :p:p:p

That's not a down side, its the happy side :) I have got thousands of dollars of electronics and "modded" parts to go in my Landy, the list is so long now thinking about it. I have just ordered the Slick Shift from the UK which will be here soon too.

Great that you are a happy Landy owner and want to make it better. Nice for you to remember the guys who helped you on the forums, they are always helpful.

Cheers.

Have you tired one before purchase? The are a bit like marmite!

I hated it when I tried one, didn't feel like a land rover to me and thought it would be more at home in someones lowered saxo rather than a defender! But the friend who's it was in loved it a raved about how good it was. He was used to hot hatches though and I have driven land rovers since I was 18 so that might be the reason for the difference of opinion.

I have not tried it, I am pretty much the only one here who will be installing add ons and bolt on mods. I also build/fabricate a bit of stuff here, so unfortunately I am the trial guinea pig here :)
I looked at a the reviews and this video of this kids as well

So hoping it works out OK. I will be using Red Line MTL GL-4 oil in the gearbox to make it a bit smoother and longer lasting. Will post my opinions once I have the Landy on the road, I am still a few months from finishing it, it will have to be resprayed etc.

Cheers.

They certainly are that!!

Interesting bit of kit that, I might just go straight in with it
