the fan on me heater on the 200 disco makes a hell of a racket and vibrates fook outta the dash..petes rewired the switch so its only on one speed setting that was fine for a while

but now its making the racket again..is it a big job to remove the whole heater assembly and fit a new one?

im guessing its not as easy as just replacing the fan:mad:

I've just taken my dash out to source a water leak, the last one!! real pain, but doable. took about 4 hrs inc, brews, fag breaks and labelling up switch wiring.

although its a 300, it helped with mine (1997 v8 es) just hope I remember how it goes back!!!

If yours is a 300 its nothing like doing a 200 dash as everything needs to come out.

I would say allow a day or two to do the job and it helps to remove the front seats to give you more room to work.

But what are you going to sit on whilst taking all the bits and bobs out. :D

It ain't that bad of a job compared to modern crap, it's just time consuming and a bit fiddly.
