Newbie, so apologies if this has been covered. Two questions: I have read on previous post that it is better to take turbo boost pressure from diagnostic software rather than a guage. So, is my Freelander OBD1 compliant and what software will I need for my laptop?
Q2 if the guage method is accurate enough to enable me to raise the boost by 2 or 3 psi, where do I connect it?

You can T into the waste gate actuator pipe to connect your pressure gauge.

It can do fobs with the v5 software (well it's got the option) but someone on ere said you need the serial number of the fob. Should be on a sticker supplied with it. Not sure as I've never tried it.

i was looking online and have spoken to a few companies that sell fobs and they said the only barcode was the shop code one...

havnt spoken to Landy tho but it is on my list but Hippo i think you should just try it and let me no what goes wrong mate lol

FL2 have a barcode number on the fob that needs to be put into the ECU via dealer / 3rd party software.

FL1 (Lucas 17TN) are simpler; you put the car body ECU into fob learning mode with dealer / 3rd party software and press the buttons so it learns the codes.

The very bottom of this page: https://blackbox-solutions.com/shop/help/SM024.html explains how it works, in this case for Rovacom.
