can anyone show me some pics of the standard 300tdi exhaust mounts, one of mine has snapped but there are loads of random unused ones and the backbox is force fitted onto one so far its always under pressure

Are you certain that you have the correct exhaust? I had mine replaced recently and discovered that Land Rover changed the shape of the tailpipe section at some point towards the end of production of the 300tdi. The numpty who replaced it in the past fitted the older style exhaust and had to force the rubber mounts to fit.

That sounds like it,

Problem is fixed now... I've bought a td5 backbox to fit :)

I have both the TD5 centre silencer removal pipe and the TD5 rear straight through section to, all bolted up to a 300TDI chassis and downpipe.

Centre section has 2 mounts, but you can only utilise one due to the 300TDI positions and the rear mount worked fine after I turned it around.

Been on quite happily for the past couple months.

However, having just gone soft top, I didn't realise how loud it was being completely straight through!

I'm tempted to put the TD5 standard rear section on with the small silencer.

Just don't wanna loose the extra bit of poke it's given me :p! And I do like the sound ... Just cant hear my radio any more and that's with some new speakers!

Fume curtain has however dulled it down a surprising amount!
