Hi all
Ive had my defender 200tdi for 3 years now and im not a small chap
6ft 5...
every time i go on a long trip or just day to day use my legs only just fitted under the steering wheel and every time i put the wipers on my nee wouldn't allow me to
So i looked up the seat extensions and was shocked at the price for two bits of box with some holes in it so i made my own even welded in some nuts in ..
Im so pleased with them so much more leg room just wish i done it sooner
I whould definitely pay £60 plus for the extra leg room in the future one of the best mods ive done !!!
Just thought i whould let u know:)
Dont forget to tell your insurance company!!!

They're bloody dear for abit of box section with some rivnuts in.. think I'm gana make mine when do.
Bulkhead removal bar is really good for it too Paul if have a van type bulkhead

i have a van type bulkhead behind the seats and i fitted seat risers, gave me more leg room but they also made the back of the seat too vertical, i couldnt recline enough so i took them out again

Put one of these in and risers give way more room!20170415_163841.jpg

Yeah but for what I use it for I can't remove the bulkhead :/
It still retains most of it unless you use the factory kit if you mean for carrying tools etc only takes out like 6" makes all the diffirence space wise though! All the ones at my work have out too but they have the box rears so no tools etc into cab

Easy enough to make your own 20 / 25mm box ( I would have to check ) a few holes / slots / cutting and job done. Plus I have the bulkhead removal bar so LOADSAROOM......

Mine was done 3 years ago. Makes it easier on long runs. Or pays your money and get the mud slide ones.

Cheers

100 quid for both seats! Bit dear for what is(like most things). I can get the box free from work too so no brainer really! Wouldn't take long to make

Like the idea of extra legroom, have a 110 Puma SW, but am concerned that moving chair backwards would cause my shoulder even more problems with door pillar!
I'm 6ft 4".

I'm 6'3" and I have a pair of these rails....I keep fittingthem, then taking them out again....I like the leg room they give, but I find myself to close to the door pillar now, and sitting up to high, have to duck down to see through the side windows and looking at traffic lights!!

I keep umm-ing and err-ing on whether I like them or not!
