I disagree. The Defender may now have security comparable to other cars, but they are high on the desirable list for theft so worthy of extra measures. I have a Thatcham Cat1 security alarm immobiliser on my Land Rover but it hasn't stopped me fitting a Clutch Claw and Disklok.

Also doesn't stop them being lifted and then broken for spares...

Would be good to have an update from the OP on this, been 2 weeks since he last posted. Any news on the vehicle? Will the police look into the dealer? - 3 cars going like this is v suspcious.
