Okay im almost a new owner of a 96 disco and i read that the 4x4 shifter can be stiff to get it into 4x4 and what about locking the diff?
It took so much pressure to put the truck i test drove into 4x4 i hit my nuckel on the dash and split it open im now thinking this is a problem.
What about locking the diff?
Any help would be great

cheers
Andrew

a stiff or seized shift is caused through lack of use. the selector can be freed off by cleaning and the use of copious amounts of wd40, whilst operating the shift.

then use the shift, say once a week or month to keep it moving/from seizing again.

okay!
the black shifter has what looks like a shift patern that allows you to put it in 4 hi or 4 low right?
What about locking the diff in?
looks like it does afigure 8 style of shift?
HELP?
Cheers
Andrew

lol

no fancy setup, it's just an animated gif of my P38 at the different heights available with the standard air suspension (with the exception of "extended")
