ere we go i've just seen a pikey sized dummy go wizzing past me window
Dunno have you been slagging the response groups if so then yes. doing recovery work is nothing like been in a response group your paid to do a completely different job. closest a response group will get to recovery will be towing stuck vehicles to the top of an icebound or snow blocked hill. they certainly aren't used for RTA.s or recovering broken down cars.
it is now known as a RTC (has been for at least 3 years )
road traffic crash parrantly an accident is when ya spill yer cup a coffee etc
the way it was eggsplained to me was:
its called and RTC because accidents don't exist someone is always to blame............ that was from a traffic copper......
RTC road traffic collision
RTA was deemed offensive if someone had been injured/killed
well acording to the guy at the course i was on last week its "crash" and he goes all over the country with his job , also have a mate thats a fire chief (cant remember what his tital is now something like incident co-ordinator or some such bollox)was saying a while back its standard jargon now
ah my mistake as i only worked for em for 5 years
ah my mistake as i only worked for em for 5 years
how long ago?
long enough to remember that firemen no nothing about police procedure and civilians even less
Collision is correct. At least 5 or 6 years. And you're quite right - trumpton usually turn up, have a debate, do the job slowly in the name of H&S, have another debate then say it's all down to plod!
Crash is a nonsense. ACPO encourages the use of the word collision or the reasons given above - accident is insensitive to those that lose loved ones, and implies there is no blame. There almost always is. That's a national directive last I heard. Old sweats continue with RTA or TA, and some forces do their own thing. It's only semantics at the end of the day.

lets be honest plod are so far up thier own arses thats all they are good for end of the day
got no time for um and even less respect
Yawn.
