If it was bottom end the noise would never subside.
Sounds like a tappet to me..
Dump a litre of ATF in the oil and run it for a few miles or hours in my case , then change it..
Mine had a little rattle.
The ATF cut through all the shyte, add to that a nice oil change..
Pucker now.

Was just going to go round the block, but a third cop-car screamed up my street so I followed it to find out why.
Thanks for listening to it Tony. I was afraid the "noise" would not be easily caught by an action cam.Can't hear a thing, buy some ear plugs. Nice car, same colour as mine, same seats but mine has a proper engine in it.

How did you manage to film that in the future?
I thought a bit lower in the engine like a camshaft end bearing.... You need to get someone there with you to hear it @DanClarke
