Sadly the prices of the newer stuff models is not going to drop anytime soon because there is actually a surge in demand for them at the moment across the entire model range and this is due to lots still being stolen ( Manchester area currently ) and a world wide shortage of computor chips my dealer specialist informed me so sellers and dealers can sort of hold out for now and get more money albeit only on the absolute peach examples. My L405 i recently sold to a prestige dealer of Rolls Royces and Bentley's is now up on his website for sale and who ever buys it will be getting a absolute concours example in every way BUT you'll have to pay £42000 for the V5c albeit worth every single penny because she is like a brand new car and she did cost £115000 new with all her extras. So if you can find those sort of funds then go for it as you wont find another one like her. She is still on my private plate which is negotiable with the dealer otherwise upon sale he will revert her back to her age related number. There is ALWAYS a deal to be done i say. LOL

oh wow, that is seriously gorgeous and indeed a fine example , I can only dream of owning something like that

Must confess really like them in black with the cream coloured leather interior , trim / steering wheel in piano black

would adore to have a FFRR but alas insurance being group 50 and my current D3 is group 33 it would crucify me , think my current insurance with, 10+ NCB, clean licence , parked on driveway , mileage under 3.000 miles, full break down, lost keys , 25% extra on loss value is around £500:per year so adding around 17 x groups I imagine insurance would go up to around £1,000 a year

at least if i got a V8 RRS it’s half way there to a FFRR ;):D, so apart from that really can’t think of any other landy that would be in my price range

thks again

ps , after seeing ur FFRR, I’ll now pick my jaw off the floor and wipe off the drool off my face , lmao :):)

Thanks, she was indeed a real minter and the reason i also bought her from the 1 and only owner pal of mine and the colour combo was the best. Insurance cost me £600 with Admiral on my multicar policy so not too bad but the £600 road tax killed it for me.

many thks and when I’m nearer to choosing one will at least get a firm quote for a FFRR to see how much more it will be , plus need to also do a lot more research regarding the 5.0 litre V8 and what to look out for , ie chains and tensioner , if they’ve been done , what it would cost to get them replaced etc , as indeed would rather spend a good amount of time on research to ensure my eyes will be wide open before purchase

Think the 5 x litre replaced the jag 4.4 petrol in 2010:, 5.0 hooked up to the 8 x speed , plus at the end of the day will more than likely trade my D3 in

thks again

Good luck with what ever you decide. FYi, my pal has owned 3 of the 5.0 supercharged models in the last 6 years and he loves them albeit he is loaded and only keeps them for 2 years and trades them in for another new one plus he runs them through his business too so running costs for him do not really come in to it BUT he did say they do more gallons to the miles. LOL
