Hi
I have a 96 4.6 on lpg and my dad has a 2002 2.5dse, and yes the dse is slow, and noisy. My dads is chipped and it improves it greatly but even so its still slow unless you bury the accelerator then it`ll move, but i wouldn`t swap my 4.6 for a diesel.
theres no substitute for cc`s :D :D :D .
rick.

i wouldnt swap my portable tv for a diesel!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

thanks redrange, i only do 5k a year and thats with runs to anglesey monthly so that sounds good to me.
This thread's great. Not a diesel in sight. The A51/A55 route to ynys mon is the route I use with my V8 on lpg. A nice varied interesting predictable route. Bomb up the M6-M56-A55, sleeping tablet and doesn't give you much chance to enjoy your new motor. Welcome to Anglesey when you come. regards P.S

Anglesey from mine takes 2-2.5 hours.the first 35m is a/b roads then the 55 all the way.would hope to get 17sh from a none lpg is that about rite??

Travel the route from Holyhead down to Walsall West Midlands around 4 times a year. Use the A55 to Chester then the A41 down through Whitchurch and Cannock via the A5.
Takes me around 2.5 hrs, don't really hang around and average 22-23 in my 4.6 HSE. Just kick the cruise in on the A55 at around 80. When I come off the boat round 1.00 in the morning and get past the trucks across Anglesey it's a piece of cake!!

is that about the norm on a run or is your range lean on petrol..

  Firstly, you will need the upper centre console (Where the clock is) to take the screen, you will also need the R.H. side panel in the "Boot" to take the computer.
More importantly, the non sat. nav. models do not have the wiring harness installed for the sat. nav during the build and if you are buying the setup second hand, this should be borne in mind if it's not included in the package. I believe-someone advise if I am wrong-that the harness from a BMW is the same.
All in all its not that simple to be just a plug & play setup with unused plugs etc. lying there ready for an install.

thanks for that,i dont no these things .someone on ebay said that it will plug rite in (with add of centre console)think he wanted £285 add says all working?think it better to just get a range with one ready in..

Have a look at the other post on this forum re. satnav. Some poor sod had his satnav system nicked from his P38 and the toe rags cut through the harness. He says that the Land Rover Main Stealer wants a grand for a new harness. Can't understand these people who offer the hardware on Egay dont include the harness????? as that would make it far more sellable-for a higher price.
Maybe I am just an old sceptic-not septic!!!

i no it may be a daft question, but i dont no the ans. so ...if you lpg a range do you get anymore mpg or is it just cheaper pper mile??
