I replaced the head gasket and sorted a cooling problem. A couple of hundred miles of heavy towing down the road with no cooling issues but another problem.

Starting from cold this morning the engine just cut out. It happened a couple of times when on the road, but it sprung back into life, I suppose bump starting itself.

I checked the injectors and the overflow pipes for leaks, but found nothing. I had earlier replaced the fuel lift pump and filter.

Where should I look next. I had a problem with my first Discovery where the fuel pipes at the tank had corroded drawing air in and the car just wouldnt start. This is more hit or miss.

Where should I look first?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that RichP. I just had a look at it, it doesnt look as if its been serviced for a while. I think I'll just take the whole thing off and clean it on the bench. Previous experience with anything plastic on a Land Rover says that it will break!

EDIT the fuel cut out connection was clean and sound.

Check the engine earths, they can do wierd **** sometimes to the fuel solenoid

got me mate going to rewire my 90 soon and put it all on an earth rail like bike wiring,it makes life so much easier tracing faults if you can get it done, or at least it does on a bike so will see how it goes on a landy.
