300TDI or TD5

Hi All

I am going touring around Europe this April for around 10 weeks think I will do around 5000 miles. at first i was going to buy a 300 TDI but Now am thinking of a TD5 any advice would help

I love my TD5, however the almost £3k I'm having to spend on getting the head replaced because of diesel leaking into the oil is hurting (considering that it only has a book value of £7k)...

Not saying this is an issue with all TD5's, but be prepared for some larger bills over the TDI.....
