Why would you want to push the engine to the edge of destruction?
I'm not knocking what you've done and don't get me wrong it's good to experiment and see what you can do.
But if it's at the engines detriment then what's the point.
Just fit something with more potential and save yourself a lot of hassle.
Yeah, just fit a flux capacitor and you only need to get to 88mph... the rest is history!
Seems the attitude has changed for the better?
Never really had a bad one to begin with I am a happy go lucky type just thought some peoples reaction were a bit ott. Just put on what I have done thats all.
Thats ok then
Still would like some better pics of what you have done
Cant find anything on the market that gives the same results which is why I built my setup and this motors been reliable so far.Im quite suprised to be honest nothings broke its the first landy I have worked on and am enjoying it its usually cars I tune so this is well different all new really.
Fair comment, But their are engines that'd suit you better out there.
I'm currently fitting a cummins 6bt in to my 90
Ridiculous amounts of power and torque available and good for about 800bhp on standard internals if I remember correctly.
Not that's you'd want that in a lr but means you have a very reliable engine even when tuned.
Cool would like to see that,,,I personally wanted to see how much power I could get out of the engine that was in it though.
Everyone I spoke to said it was not worth trying as everyone had failed at getting big power reliably. That just made me try harder.
I only started because the bolt on the horn had pierced the intercooler and a new one was dearer than a larger one and then it got silly and I was hooked on playing with it just to prove a point,,,,,Great fun now though nearly need wings lol
Nice work my man love it,,,,shurely it will have no low down acceleration though? What size blower are you running doesnt look to different to mine.
Looks awesome costs loads though youve made an amazing job I prefer the mikalor wide clips though found normal clips made a bit of a mess of my hoses.
Engine has lots of torque so low down acceleration should be very good provided the gearing is right.
Have a look on youtube theirs a few videos on their of cummins powered lr's
Turbo is a holset h1c what came with the engine (couldn't tell you the size) But a hx35 is on the list for the future.
Yeah, I already had some clips so used them (Theirs still some missing) so I may buy some decent ones at some point.
What you can't see from Aarons pictures is how nice it really is in real life .. he's done a cracking job, and strange to say although there's not much room front and rear, at the sides there's still loads ..
Keep up the good work it looks great and its nice to chat with someone who isnt slating me and calling my work crap.Keep in touch though I am not too shure how to work these forums not even shure if I am writing in the right areas doh
Cheers
Plenty of room at the side for compound turbo's if the need ever arises then
Cheers dude, I'm sure you'll get the hang of the forum eventually.
Everyone thinks I'm bonkers for fitting my choice of engine (even though it's been done before)
So you keep up the work too and as others have said a video would be good when you get a chance
surely it will have no low down acceleration though?
