You may be better off in the long term getting down to halfords and buying a double ended fan spanner, laser make one for £13. Worth having in your tool box.

Screwfix do a water pump spanner for about £2.50 that does the job, although it says 22mm on the packaging!?

Nice, I always take the front off , it does make life easier and means you can get a real good look at what is going on. Plus you get a chance to run a hose over the intercooler and radiator from both sides easily.

just out of interest can you tell me the thread size and pitch may be good to have a tap in the old box for that(I'm a machinist so could order one in to do a rush job lol)
