300 tdi suddenly won't start

Hi, been searching through posts but can't see a solution. My 1997 disco was working last week then after being stood for a week through the snow and minus temps it won't start. Doesn't even attempt to crank over ,just makes a clicking noise. Any ideas? It's manual diesel , use to start no problems at all so thinking cold temps have damaged something . Thanks for any help

have you checked the battery? make sure it's charged etc?

clicking could be the started solenoid? - only going on my general knowledge not landy, so might be way off

Sounds like battery is flat

Flat battery, cold weather can kill an old battery. Also, get your alternator checked.

Any dash light's coming on? sounds like a totally drained battery though. There's some great guides on here to check the electrical system if the battery is ok

i would check all your earth straps aswell

Yeah cheers for help, it was battery. Didn't think it was that because all lights were working but jump leads and other car sorted it. Thanks for help
