300 tdi Sticky clutch pedal

when cold the clutch pedal sticks to the floor...then pops up on its own after a couple of seconds ........is there a spring I should change or grease........I know the easy option "dont press the pedal all the way to the floor ..

there is a spring on pedal .but i would be looking at slave and master cylinder,release arm can wear on pivot causing slave to move further out leaving pedal on the floor but doesnt usually come up unless pulled

i had the same problem with mine cleaned all the crap of master cylinder arm sprayed with wd40 bean ok ever since

you have checked the fluid level ? mine sticks when the fluid level is low
