I have an upopened 300TDi seal in the garage.....I will go take a look now but I am sure it is there, I'll take pitures and if you want it you can have it gratis....give me ten and I'll see if I can find it
ive never used a turnes design so i cant say, only the std dowty sealCheers , James. And thanks for confirming the TDC on No1 cylinder above.
If I look at the seal I have here (It's a new one cost about £11.00) If I folded the plastic bit back it would be VERY obvious in a picture. Plus, it would be impossible to do cos the plastic of the seal is so rigid, it wouldn't fold back on itself. With the Turners one being a different 'design' and, I presume, material I'm not so sure it has folded right back. I'll check with Turners as they must fit this design and see what they say about how it looks when fitted. I've seriously messed up by taking the guide out as this is making me think it could have folded the wrong way.
Yep, there's two variables here. Me stupidly taking out the guide and the Turner's seal being different to the standard and so not possible to compare.ive never used a turnes design so i cant say, only the std dowty seal
Cheers, Saint. That's very kind. I have an identical one here.Photos of the seal and package.
It is unopened, but if you want a photo of the orientation of the seal on the guide ring for your information, I can open the packet.
It is yours if you want it.

Cheers, mate.No need to feel guilty, it is a drop in the ocean...
I have no need for it so it is only going to gather dust in the garage.
If you want it, its yours, else it goes back on the shelf!
Mine uses a different flywheel housing as it is mated to the LT77 gearbox...this uses a different rear seal....I bought this before I realised this!Cheers, mate.
I'll find out what Turners say and get back to you. I don't want to tempt fate, but do you not want to keep a spare
If it's bad news from Turners on Monday, I'll PM you my address.Mine uses a different flywheel housing as it is mated to the LT77 gearbox...this uses a different rear seal....I bought this before I realised this!
Grand, best of luck.If it's bad news from Turners on Monday, I'll PM you my address.
Well almost. Might have fitted the rear crank oil seal incorrectly.Looking good mate, all starting to come together now
You're right. I need a break. I think I'll spend an hour tidying the garage up and that's it.Sit in the sun and wait for Turners in the morning.

It's sunny up here!Hey up Al CHILL out MAN ! Weathers crap anyway
At least leave the Glo plugs out makes it easier to turn motor over to set tappets !
KEEP up the GOOD Work !
And as for the back seal (just my view) (others are available) IF you put it on WITH the guide ring in place I don't think you will have a problem !
Come on then, spill the beans we are all patiently waiting in suspense (not suspenders.....well not me at least)I emailed Turners earlier and included the pictures I've put on LZ.
Amazingly, they have replied already! They've told me to ring at 10am when there'll be someone there to advise me.
Canny service that!
