Sorry for repeating the thread about those 3 Amigos again. Yes I have the same intermittent problem.
But my question is, I have seen several videos about rewiring the solenoid part of the main unit with one going to a earth point and the other on the green/yellow wire I think.
My question is, although this appears to solve the problems of the dash warning lights coming on, does it also disable the ABS, Hill Decent Function and TC, or will they all still function on the vehical.
Vehical is a Discovery 2 TD5.
Many thanks for advice / answers.

This is a topic that has seriously been done to death mate, and I mean we flogged a half million dead horses in the last month treading the same ground as we have for the last 15yrs as the D2 came into hobbyist/enthusiast price brackets.

Search, scroll through the half million threads and see what conclusions you come up with. Then search again using different phrases to see what conclusions you get out of that.

Thanks Hippo.
Learning quickly as only had the disco a few weeks.
Trying to read up about as much as I can on some of the issues I have come across since getting it. The big stuff I have left to my mechanic at the garage, but if it's a easy fix, trying to do myself. Getting there slowly and also she's running better already.

I bought a kit off eBay with new switches. Mod already done to the new ones and the plugs are supplied so you don’t have to cut anything and all looks factory. Not the cheapest option but relatively easy and fixed mine, traction control worked great in Wales (while the rest of the car did at least!)

I can confirm ABS and Traction control do what they are supposed to do. Not entirely sure how hill decent works if I’m honest, I get on fine with the more traditional method of selecting first gear low range for decents. Will try it one day just for the sake of it!

One thing to be clear on though is you need to ensure this is your actual fault. Mine was showing ‘shuttle valve electrical failure more than 11 times’ on the nanocom so i was quietly confident this is what I needed.

Thanks Adam, Glad the functions work even with the lights on. I did think they would be just a warning of a fault rather than disable their function. It was mainly because my old car never had anything like this before, no ABS, Hill Descent or Traction Control.... But it was a good little runner and was great off road / snow (Vitera).
I have been looking at the nanocom's and also the Hawkeye unit. Pretty expensive for either, although the Hawkeye is about £70 cheaper.
Will probably have to wait for one of these as I have to get a full set of tyres first and that's going to be about £400 in one pop.
But thanks for your reply. If I try the hill descent before you, I will post it here so you know. Cheers. Greg

It will rely on the high/low switch on the transfer box working properly, mine takes a while to realise it’s in low range. Good luck!

Help they shout now me too
yes I've scrolled through a million threads and on different web sites
so far I've done new brakes new hubs option b and now a low sensor output code and error code 0440
obviously happened in time for mot and now its failed

I have replaced the sensor again checked the resistance 1,0 so wishing tolerance
have removed wing based socket and fitted a long sensor lead straight into slabs
all no difference

System works fine mechanically but if lights come on at retest I'm stuffed
using soft v 1 to read and clear
lights kick in at about 10 mph with the warning sound
asking you patient old ones if theres anything I've missed or I can do now except wire it to the oil light (only half joking)
thanks
