Hi,

The cars runs 275/40/22 as stock, I was looking to replace the rears with 285/40/22 does anyone know if this would cause issues?

Cheers,
Danny

Hey,

The car is not in the UK and I had a blowout on the rear left, they only have 285's on the Island, so it is not out of choice!

Yeah, I am thinking I just buy all 4, I can't imagine the extra 10mm would cause any rubbing

It's not just the width of 5mm a side, also the height will change a little on the tyres. Don't forget the number 40 is the height and is 40% of the tyres width. Just watch your speedo in comparison to a satnav it phone app for speed cameras. ;)

Which island? Where in the world are you? What are the national restrictions? In Spain when you take your car for its MOT (ITV) they check the tyre size fitted against the vehicles documents which list the permitted sizes.

Blimey 22 inch rims, just done a comparison for u , know u didn’t fit the wheels but alas with having such low profile sidewalls so easy to damage

if u ever wish to do greenlaning etc will be best to change them for smaller rims so u get a bigger sidewall

plus of course plse don’t forget to tell ur insurance company

here’s the chart for u and hope u didn’t mind me mentioning the tyre sizing

@bbddan , plus as mentioned , look on the door post for tyre sizes allowed for ur landy

No Spare to get you somewhere that has?

I guess it would work but for how long? Depends how far you have now got to drive it?
The trouble with modern LR they don’t like change and I would hate to think what the ecus would think.

buy 4:eek::D.

Ooops, so sorry didn’t realise you’ve already posted the link, that will teach me not to read all the posts , apologises

No worries:)

We run our winter wheels all year. The original wheels & tyres stay in the garage as we have ****ed many sidewalls already:eek::D. So can only agree skinny sidewalls damage easy:(.

bless u, how long will I have to sit on the naughty step, lol

must admit I’ve got 17 inch rims on mine and just bought a set of 19 inch rims so can have a decent sidewall height will also get some snowflake marked tyres and leave them on all year seeing I do low mileage

plus another reason getting the larger rims is so I can fit the larger V8 brake discs all round, think there then be 337mm for the front and 350mm for the back

this is the style I got , plus later after fitting my rock sliders and front nudge bar am hoping it will look ok , admit I’ve de badged it front and back , prefer it like that
