Hi All,
I have a 2010 RRS TDV6 HSE. Car is well maintained; and main dealer serviced. I drive only circa 5k miles per annum - mostly short local shuttle runs with the kids, with the occasional trips to the airport with work. Very few journeys more than 50 miles in one go.
I yesterday noticed thick, acrid smoke pouring from the underside of the car (around the front wheel arches and engine bay) when stationary at a junction, only 60 seconds or so from engine start. It happened again this morning, but the car was stationary on my drive. A minute or so later, the same smoke was emanating from the exhaust pipes, so I decided to leave it at home! Relied on the wife's Golf instead... There are no warning lights; and engine temperature is normal.
Does this sound like a DPF issue? Do you think I should find an excuse to take the old girl on a good long run?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
