I've got a 90 that won't stop when the ignition switch is turned off - have to stall it - changed the ignition barrel but still won't stop - any ideas
cheers

It sounds like you have a fuel cut-off (or 'engine stop') solenoid problem to me. The stop solenoid is located on your injection pump, and it will be the only part that has a small 12V wire attached to it. With the ignition off, remove the wire and then re-connect it. Do you hear a click? If the solenoid is receiving a 12V supply while the ignition is off, it will stay open and maintain fuel flow to your engine. On the other hand, the solenoid might also be stuck open, which means that regardless of having a 12V supply or not, it will not close and shut off the fuel supply - allowing your engine to run-on as so to speak. If there is no current present when the ignition is off, replace the solenoid. If there is a current present when the ignition is off, you've got a wiring problem which is more than likely related to your ignition barrel (current bridging between +12V and solenoid terminal with key in off position)
