Hi all looking for HELP! Sorry didn't mean to shout.
First off at the beginning of December she started to get hard started in the morning. Then reduced power on take off , very little power until 2500rpm then she would take off like a rocket once turbo kicked in . Changed fuel filter (last year's filter, ie not old) no difference . Changed MAF sensor, no difference...
One morning going to work hit the outside of a puddle (nothing major at all) then she died , coincidence? , I don't know.
Can't hear LPFP kick in ..
Swapped fuel pump relay, no difference.
Removed relay Jumped from pos to neg with wire to start pump , nothing at Schrader valve (tyre valve looking yolkibus) . I know it sounds like LPFP is ****ered , I think. But have read that if HPFP is working correctly it will drag fuel from tank without LPFP working. Is this correct? .
Some days if all the stars are aligned properly she will start up ish for a second and die again. Which makes me think it's not the HPFP but I'm probably wrong about that?? Am I ?
That was her initial symptoms, in morning she would start for a second and die, crank her again with same results 4 or 5 times and she would then tick over lumpy until engine got warmer then tick over perfectly.
Have not tried easy start.
Have not taken off tank (don't have shed and been snowing here) .
Have not checked HPFP belt as don't know how to...
have rechecked fuel filter. Fine .
Have checked all connectors behind battery.
also got new battery.
have checked passengers side wires that run along sill .
Checked fueses .
Over Quarter a tank of diesel in her .
Something odd , my usual key that I was using the day she died won't work with central locking (key battery dead)
My other key works central locking, but both keys now take a lot of jiggling before they turn ignition.
I went to local automotive dude and he couldn't figure out how to replace key battery. After searching I found you have to solder the battery in ?? Wtf .
I have fault code ' B1A55-14 crash record output circuit. ' intermittent.
Had an EGR code also , but I fitted 2 new EGRs last year ?! . So last week I just blanked them and removed butterfly.
Again this is after the problem started.
And P0191 -23 fuel rail pressure sensor range/performance . Temporary.
And P0625-11 generator field terminal - circuit low . Temporary.
They are the more interesting fault codes , not boasting or anything but I have LOADS OF CODES to tell you about..
I'm not sure if half the codes are being thrown due to cranking the old battery to death ..
I got a full page of them one day , wiped them and they stay away ... but again can't get her running for more than a couple of seconds though so .. ??
I will try to post a picture of the many codes incident.
I really miss my 1986 110 ....
I don't have the intelligence for this lady ..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If I solve it I will post update.
Many thanks in advance.
