2005 hse

with a Foxwell 510 pro, pen, paper, tape measure, while waiting for the queue to die down at Tesco car park, I needed a level surface and my block paved drive has suffered after years of having over 2 ton of LR on it.

Oh and a lot of swearing :D
 
What’s a cheap one I can use. I have the icarsoft and I guess you can’t do the height calibration on it. But will the new sensors keep causing the whole front and sometimes just the drivers side to drop? I sprayed the block under passenger side where all the air lines go in and out with soap anD water and no bubbles

See 2 posts up ^^. How cheap are you trying to go, sometimes it's better to pay a little bit more for something that does many things. There are some things that the Foxwell won't do so you may end up having to buy a better one after all and you have wasted your money.

TBH in RR term the Fowxwell is pretty cheap, fortunately I have a very helpfull indi with a testbook if I need a little extra help. And with what it has saved me in garage visits I could have justified a nonocom, just not at the time.

This is kind of what I was getting at. You have a ' pretty cheap' Foxwell, and a helpful indy. If you didn't have the helpful indy , you would have to pay a few sheckels more, for something else.

I get the ' can't afford right now' argument , but sometimes the bullet just has to be bitten. You even say it yourself, the Foxwell may not do what is needed and then they'll have to buy something else.

As above 'buy cheap, buy twice' ;)
 
if you don,t want to buy a proper diagnostic kit i would find a very close indy garage. I thought my P38 was a bitch till i bought christine my L322 :D:D
 
I think foxwell sounds like a good contender, GAP diagnostics also very good i have heard. i don't think allcomms covers 2005 but you might be lucky if you have an early one - check your VIN with RSW solutions - a fellow American.
As above, diagnostics will pay for themselves very quickly in both money and sanity. i would say if you are happy at diagnosing and fixing problems yourself then save up and buy the right kit.
i parked my dog turd up for over a month when i first got it waiting for my allcomms to arrive so i could tell how much i had been bummed by the person I bought it off. :)
 
Iv not got any kit for Christine just a good old set of spanner’s and a friendly indie round the corner but I think with alllcom or something I’d go completely nuts and start dribbling with my new found stutter!!!
