2004 td6 fuel burning heater

i think mine has just started working lol, there seems to be excessive smoke ( i not sure how much there should be ) it wasnt noticable when the snow was here, should i be concerned or is it the norm for it to be like this.

It will probably clear after a couple of uses

That or it'll turn your vehicle into a very expensive barbecue. One or t'other.

Personally, I would get it checked over, shouldn't smoke too much.

As Bix says, you could end up with an expensive barbecue on your hands!!

They are quite worrying really...

Have there ever been any fires actully started by these heaters ?

It's just burning off excess fuel from previous failed starts. Should clear.

They seem to be a bit variable, seen a few smokers on boats, sometimes it's just water vapour like you get from a cold exhaust. Always preferred the gas fired version myself, much more reliable.
