Hi Gent

Please can you tell me which BMW was fitted with the same engine as my 2001 Bordeaux Diesel ? It would just double the chances of finding spares when searching :)

Thanks for that, I'm assuming the injectors will be the same ? I have a 525 in a breakers near me that has a recon engine from BMW in it so thought the injectors would be a good but as the guy at the yards says he will take them out and bag them up individually for 50 pounds !
 
Yes same but number 4 has a lift sensor so for that one has to be a egr match
Ie. if yours has egr the doner car must! same as if yours dosent have it the doner shouldent

Cheers for that, I will get that checked

My car had an EGR but I have since fitted the bypass kit however obviously this does not alter the fact as pointed out by you :)
 
i fitted an engine from a 525 a couple of months ago, tomcat59alan your spot on ,all i had to do was swap the top of the pump, which is not as hard as it sounds,good luck to the op:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
