Only had the car a few weeks. Did the clutch hydraulics today. Full system and bracket from bearmac. I picked bearmach as I read their quality was good.
First.... I was fiddling for ages trying to get the master back in and I started noticing some fluid weeping as the master was turned 90'.... Arrragh
Finally got it in and secure and went to clip it to the pedal and the 0pistom was not there.... It was on the floor of the car.... It had fallen out. Poped it back in... It seemed to work but it's not secure.... Just tight on the master cylinder.
Got the rest assembled ok. Kept plastic clips till all fixed and snipped them. Went into car with engine off. Pressed pedal and it just hit the floor with no pop back.
Feck.
As I'm in Ireland a replacement will be at least a week.
Is there any way the Piston is designed to be removable? Can I use it?
Secondly... Is there any way to bleed the system if there is air and replace with dot4 or whatever it uses?
