2.5DSE 1996-97 temp gauge

Nothing wrong with plastic pump if it’s decent unit. some say they are actually better at pumping, just change it every ten years or so.

Alrightyyy! i got a reply from brookwell. They said the allmakes one apparently has an plastic impeller aswell now?? even tho the picture in the shop was a metal one, however they were gonna order it in and ship it to me apparently.

I suppose allmakes is better than britpart even if its a metall or plastic impeller.. Gonna order a thermostat aswell now.

Even the britpart wind deflectors i bought didnt fit as snuggly as they should, apparently they arent bent enough at some places, but yeah its atleast better than nothing there.... Looks dope, ngl.
The plastic foil on the parts almost got me, i tough they were old and scratched up but thank god it was just some protection foil

Also, i heard its recommended to drill a hole on the top of the thermostat were its placed in? easier to bleed the car apparently? I suppose its nice?? no dumb thing ?

The new stat should have a hole in it just on the outside edge about 3mm and should be fitted at 12 o clock, if not as you mentioned drill one, it helps to vent the air before the stat opens.
