Did you not spend time checking it over before you bought it?...a badly maintained car is usually obvious...unless you bought it from a scam dealer...it's an old car that has a complex system thats been well documentated on here and everywhere else for being a nightmare...it's not for you at your level of mechanical ability...blunt I know but there you go...

Where did it escalate? Unless it's in the naughty corner? As far as I can see the guy whinges like billyo, in almost every post since he arrived. So much so, that added to the decyphering of posts, it makes it an unpleasant read. Which is why I personally, avoid him most of the time, even to the detriment of my own, possible, learning from the insight of other members. The conversation 'seems' to be still civil. Just a polite request to stop whining. We all ask for help, we all get help, and we all try to help, where we can. We, also, all have a hissy fit now and then , but personally, if I hated my vehicle, as much as tyke hates his, and was as determined as him, to spend no money on it, I would get rid.
Anyway, I've asked him politely. I will now go back to attempting to avoid

We bought a near duffer for my son.
800€, a dead front diff, timing out, duff plugs, duff airbags, duff shocks, duff tracking bar, duff hockey stick bushes, duff drop links, piddling oil, duff front tyres and to boot....spent 900€ of his own money on parts and tyres.... He's just passed his test and learnt he isn't allowed to drive the funking thing for three years due to a probation period with his new license because it's too powerful?????? .. We bought a shït house of a car off a guy who wouldn't know the end of a dipstick if he was hit in the face with it but claimed he did..... Your doing OK matey.
Positive side, it's only 132.000mls and the interior is nice. Worth the money any day.

Is France the same as here the car is insured and not the driver hence the restriction?...
