2.5 d help needed

Hi i realy need help, i have two problems , 1st one is the rr starts first time off the key when cold but when hot it can take me 10 to 20 mins before it will start again, i have had it in too rr guy who only deals with rr,s who fitted some thing that was supossed to cure the problem,but it is still the same, the 2nd problem is that some time's that when i put itin too drive or reverse the engine wont rev up but if i put it in to N or P it will rev up as it should and this is happening more often as time go's on ,i have changed the relay thing under the passengers seat, the rr drive great when it is running.The RR is P reg and has coverd 160,000 miles but the engine is so smoth you would think is had only done 10,000 . i have just rememberd the RR guy had it on the computor and said that there were some dater missing so he re-enterd it did the test then went back to the setting's but the dater he put in had gone again, so could the probems be the becm ???? so as you see i need any advise you guy's can give . thank's Martin
