Well done so far! I know what it’s like to stitch together old landrover chassis, but at least mine is in my shed. Hats off to you
Cheers zed yes a fair bit of rust but as you know the typical Ammanford weather has not been fair so only getting started now really
got the rear axle out yesterday afternoon will get a pic of that pain in the arse in a bit thinking of what I can do with it today as have run out of cutting and sanding discs until tomorrow
I had exactly the same problem when I replaced the balljoint on mine. I’m sure I had to get the gas axe out to heat it up first. Great progress. Remember to post some pics of the rangey in the future as I’m a sucker for early 3 doors!
My Mrs would give me the ‘stare’ if I asked her to help with the Landy! My son helps every now and again, but he is more interested in a PlayStation the majority of the time. At least you don’t get any grief or complaints if you do it yourselfYh all on my own well the odd help from the Mrs here and there she's quite hands on just a bit weak for the heavy parts so I end up improvising a lot of the time trolley jack and engine crane with strops are my best friend haha my 2 step boys are more interested in tech and games consoles.
