1997 Disco SE Alarm Blares, won't start.

So two days ago, I purchased a beautiful 1997 Disco SE. Couldn't be happier about it. Side from the fact that I set the alarm that night, and when I woke up to go to work there next morning, the alarm started blasting.
No biggie, I think, I'll just use my handy dandy key here to deactivate alarm and be on my way.
Nope. Nothing I've tried is helping. Saw a video to enter a sequence of locks/ unlocks (EKA code? 1515), nothing. Tried every combination of locking and unlocking under the sun. Nothing. Tried unplugging the battery. Alarm starts screaming again.
Took the dashboard apart to remove immobiliser, nothing. Nothing there. Just an already unplugged wiring harness. Very frustrating. I'd love to be able to drive my new Disco.
If anyone has any suggestions, please help.
I'm desperate. Closest dealership is hours away. I live in a rural area (which I thought these were designed for!!!?)
Thoughts, help, tips, anyone!?
I just wanna use my Disco!!

Are you sure that’s the code( although I have heard all US spec had that number)?
It can be difficult to put in sometimes if you don’t know, if you use the search it will Bring up lots of useful info on how to make sure you put it In correctly.
I think I have info will have a look.

As for what’s missing or not, I don’t know but hang in there the gurus will be along to help.

So grateful for you folks. I have a lot of faith in other Landy Owners.
If I've had mine for three days and I already love it this much I'm sure I will meet lots of fanatics in this group.
Just a minor setback, no worries.
One thing that perplexed me was that I read somewhere that when I begin the code entry I should hear an audible beep notifying me that the car was ready to accept my code. Nothing.
Of course I continued to enter the code anyways, about 25 times, before I tore my dash apart.
I did call dealership. They said my only option is to bring it in for service. I'm not buying that. Folks are just trying to make a few bucks I'm sure.

Ok I don’t know the disco, but this side of it is very similar to the P38. It gives you 3 goes and then you have too wait longer( unless you open and close the door after try 2 if I remember).

I would certainly suggest you Invest in some diagnostics tool for yourself. I am sure this can be sorted by the Guys/Gals here.( some of them might be Gals so becarful how you tread).

Do you have any messages on the dash( don’t know if disco has it) Just trying for anymore useful info for when the gurus turn up.

I'll do my best to remain as respectful as possible. I don't get any type of security messages on the dash. Not even the blinking security light, but also a bit of the dash electronics and controls are currently out of commission.

The lack of beeping was a red flag for me for sure.

When you woke up to go to work the next morning, the alarm started blasting. What about the folding morning?

Locking the vehicle with the remote fob or key is allowed but unlocking with the key isn't allowed as that will set of the alarm due to sensing voltage drop.
I doubt that u would find the 'spider' immobiliser behind the dash as your engine is the 4.0 GEMS engine management, therefore a totally different security system to the UKs.
I suggest u contact the main dealer to get the exact security code for your vehicle, and then make arrangement to plug it into a diagnostic computer which you will need to check the whole security system, both fobs included.

With the alarm, the interior ultra-sonic sensor if faulty will give a false alarm, locking the vehicle with the key to set the alarm will isolate that sensor, but again, unlock with the fob.

Ok something is amiss, the vehicle shouldn't start without the fob being present at the dash to remobilise the engine
What the chance of u contacting the previous owner whom may have modified( isolate/remove) the security system, thats why then there's no red led flashing in the dash between the speedo and rev counter maybe.

I assume it started ok and ran ok before the early morning issue and central locking is functional with the key... not that it has any bearing unless the security ecu had been removed which It hasn't

Can't help with the fob I expect it's a bit more advanced than the uk equivalent. Do u have a owner hand book?
