I have been doing some welding on the above so disconnected the battery but now that I've come to reconnect it every time I do the alarm kicks off and wont stop, I've followed all the procedure's in the handbook all to no avail it still goes off, thought of pulling the wire out completely but have read on here that, that's not a good idea, so the alarm is still kicking off, now very popular with neighbours and dogs, hellllllp! someone please

Some more info may help.
Did it unlock with the key fob before hand ?
Are there any doors open when you reconnect the battery ?

Sounds like one of the sensors is being triggered ...
Disconnect them one at a time till you find the one that's at fault .... (PS, start with the bonnet switch) ...
You can disconnect the sounder, by unplugging it ...

Thank you for that Mark, yes it did unlock with the key fob beforehand ,the doors aren't open but as soon as I reconnect the battery it kicks off.

Thanks Dippypud, not in the least electrically competent so don't really know where to find the sensors apart from possibly ? the bonnet one, so will try that this morning, also I've been told that if I disconnect the sounder that the hazards will start flashing and wont stop ??

Try it and see ...ours don't, but I do stuff an old Tshirt in the front of the sounder and put one over the back end of it, so if the sounder goes off you can think of what to do next ...
If the hazards go off a lot just plug it back in ... :)
