Yet another problem has arisen.

After solving the fuel pump farce, the battery had gone flat. Recharged battery. Keyfob wont operate doorlocks or alarm. Tried EKA process (have had to do this before when battery went flat so I know I've got the right code, and am doing it right!!) but this didn't work and I got the KEYCODE LOCKOUT message on the display. Kicked the dog. Waited the obligatory 30 minutes before trying it again. Still wouldn't work. Kicked dog again, and this didn't work either. I also noticed that now the only the drivers door unlocks & locks off the key! When I have entered the keycode and put key in ignition the LED on the fob blinks like mad. I am now at a loss as to what to try and the dog keeps walking backwards when he's anywhere near me. HELP!!!!!!!!!

>>I also noticed that now the only the drivers door unlocks & locks off the key<<

sounds like your door latch is faulty (one of the microswitches inside), which does not get contact while turning the key, making EKA impossible.
cheers, korkut

p.s. I have seen in an other thread, that you have a starting problem as well.
I would say, the BECM needs a security relearn (code from the EDC has to be given into the BECM). you will have to sort out your latch problem still.
you could try to give the EKA code by shorting the corresponding wires from the latch mechanism, but not a long term soution.

Thanks Kork. Will try your "shorting method" and let you know if it works. At least that way I'll know if its the lock.

take the door card off and then try it, on mine the sill button was sticking due to the push rod bieng bent/sticking and not operating the microswitch correctly.

also lock the car then lock the car 4 times then enter the eka code.

you could always use the microswitch from the other door and operate by hand if it fits the wire connecter.

just in case you need it: Security and Alarm System Operation & Diagnosis on Range Rover 4.0/4.6/P38A
