Today’s work involved removing what was left of the floor.

Using this as an opportunity to remove and sort the fuel sedimented which was seized up.

I also ended up removing the seat clasp boxes either side as the wheel arches are rusty and will need plating at the top.

What it looks like with no floor and tools removed…

Loosely placed the floor and panels in place.

A few gaps around the front end of the panels, will need to cut the old ones out carefully. Fun!

I can’t seem to find a replacement panel for where the rear of the floor attaches to the door step, does anyone know what I’m looking for? The rear crossmember is pretty solid so I’m not planning on replacing that.

Got out at it again today, meant to start wire brushing chassis but I’m going to wait till I’ve got some Bilt Hamber to paint it with. I did however make the mistake of investigating the floor by the seats.

Prodding revealed a somewhat rotten body mount and dodgy sills!

Looks like I’ll be doing them too 😒.

Might need an axel stand under that afor you get in again ...

Yeah it’s not ideal is it…! Reckon I’m going to spending some cash at Frogatts as they do body mount repair sections and sill.

Tapered bits? Reckon I’m going for this little lot, needs rear body mounts and the front lift box too.
