1987 LR 90 coolant leak

After a search in the 19J section, I was unable to find an answer, so here goes. My 1987 LR 90 developed a coolant leak last week and I topped up the expansion tank. After driving it to work and back (4 miles), the expansion tank is bone dry. I traced the dripping coolant and the leak seems to come from the point where the fan is bolted to the water pump assembly. Is this a common spot where the 19J tends to start leaking? I wanted to get a few viewpoints from more experienced LR owners before I remove the fan and start in depth troubleshooting.

Sounds like a leaking water pump. Fairly common. Change the pump, using a quality pump, job done. Don't run it with low coolant, you will crack the head.

...and now the low oil pressure light is coming on when the engine gets warm. Oil level is normal and it's currently running fine. Now what?

Fit a new switch, common for them to fail too. Get a quality one though. If that don't sort it, report back.
