You haven't quite got the hang of this packing and moving lark have you:D:D

it's dawned on me how much i use eBay, being able to find/buy/collect that obscure/old/useful/cheap item all within a day or so is something we just won't be able to do when we're up there so i think i am subconsciously buying everything i will need for the rest of my years before we go, or we plan our future holidays around the collection of ebay items

i see a recently emptied space in the garages and fill it with an engine that needs rebuilding

You just need to invite people up regularly for visits, as long as they bring a van full of stuff with them.:D

I keep emptying my garage...it dont last long though. You can only just get into mine again now:(. I'm trying to sort out a unit cause its just getting too crowded.

The cooling system has been cleaned and flushed using neat vinegar and a couple of those dish washer tablets (patent pending on the method)

Engine In :: coolingsystemcleaningmadeeasy.flv video by seanmoore2008 - Photobucket

Your cooling System method, i watched the video and you put one of the tablets in your radiator with it running, so it disolves it and i presume clean it, where does the vinegar come into the process, do you have to flush the system out after butting the tablet in it?

sounds good, but i already have some of those tablets hence asking more about it, i dont get where the vinegar comes into it though

bit more cleaning, seal changing and painting today

if you ever find either of the above components going cheap BUY THEM - the top one is like rocking horse droppings to buy and well over £100

there's still rust on it and paint is chipping off from contamination.

missed a bit

being picky

snigger, all -but the last one has rust in the mounting holes and a flake of paint where the reservoir fits-unless a casting mark or tape. paint looks thin on bottom too.

I'm only winding you up

fair point i missed that inside of the mounting hole - twas only a flash coat

that "flake" happens to be where i've masked off the face where the reservoir sits as i don't want primer eating the new seal

;)
