there are 2 reasons either linkage come adrift inside or shafts sticking in front output housing ,behind tin cover is usual place there are 3 shafts 1 with red knob on which selects high/low gears outer behind tin cover which operates 4wd dog and center with yellow knob acts as pivot for red lever to operate outer lever ,either jammed or pivot dislocated latter means box out ,to remove front output housing

just jacked the the whole thing up in the air (bear in mind no rear halfshafts and have the middle seat lifted so i could see the gearbox)
in 2wd in neutral front wheels and rear drive shaft spins
in 4wd high nothing moves
in low same as in 2wd neutral.

is this right

if shafts moving freely remove tin cover to see it must have come adrift inside ,remove plate on drivers side of t/box you can see if high/low selector is working properly both ways

just get a RR diff set up ****ing hell! thats what i have. oh and whilst im here with the RR set up can you use the drive shafts aswell as the diff? on a series that is? havn't tried it yet but if you can use the diff then i suppose you can, but you would have to cut and shut the shafts as disco RR and def are wider.

may sombody confirm this please,

thank you.

ps sorry im going i know sorry. lol
