Mine has 3499kg on log book?
Interesting! Just had a look at mine, it says Revenue Weight 3499kg too.Not quite sure what they mean by that, last time I had mine on a weighbridge it was 1840 kg with me in it. I would have thought 1600 kg was a lot of payload, maybe it is ok?

as turboman has just stated his is 3499kg's revenue weight , are those who passed their test after 96 ( i think ) still entitled to drive them or are they in driving other than in accordance with their licence due to the weight class ?.

Alot of sherpa tippers have tachos in them but cant weigh more than
3.5 tonnes in total:confused:
I dont understand any of it

If you tow anything, even a compressor, with a Sherpa or Transit then you need a tachograph and come under the tacho rules.

i know you have to have tacho fitted and use a disc if your towing a trailer for commercial use , and if you have a vehicle fitted with a tacho and it is NOT for commercial use you don't have to use a disc but you have to have it calibrated every couple of years , just get's more and more confusing .

whoa saved by a kilo , beats me with some of the reg's now , we all know a transit is a commercial class 7 in most cases , a fiesta can be a car derived van , class 4 ? , but a 110 is 2 defined vehicles !.

But so is a transit. if it's a motorhome it's a class 4. likewise if it's a mini bus its 4, 4a or 5, if it's a van it's a class 7

no different to a landy,

Bull****e.. If your carrying/towing for hire or reward it needs a tacho. if your carrying goods normally used in the excution of your business and operating within a predefined radius of the registered address (50km IIRC) then you don't.

My 90 hardtop (van) is class 4:confused:

What's the Gross vehicle weight or Max Authorised Mass on ya 90?? if it's more than 3000kg it's a class 7?? I know the 110 will be class 7 this year, even though GVW is 3050kg.

NB this doesn't include max train weight which is gvw + towing limit (3500kg for 90 or 110)

110's (and 90's) are all Class 4 (Dual Purpose vehicles).
However, some are erroneously listed on the VOSA database as Class 7 (as are some Range Rovers) and come up as that when the Tester logs them on.
If that happens to you, tell the Tester to phone VOSA and they will change the record for your vehicle.
130's are Class 7.

I know they used to be. But was under the impression that's all gone now the new regs have come out.
