Hi,

I've recently bought a 1989 Defender 110 hard top and figured it would be a good idea to sign up with you guys :)

So... my question... i want to get some of the rusty bits sorted and my first job is to replace the cappings on the rear of the truck that join the tub with the hard top. I've looked on the Microcat cd and all i can find is a capping for each side which is all in one piece however on mine they are split into 3 pieces. Does anyone know the part number for the 'L' shaped capping at the very rear that goes from the side of the rear door and wraps around the side for about 4-5 inches?

That's the best way i can think to describe it at the mo. If no-one knows what i mean i'll try to get a picture of it.

Cheers

they dont do the seperate pieces anymore its all in one, and to make things better one side costs around £75 the other approx £140, thats gud ol Land Rover for ya

Shine a light, thats a bit steep.

I get the feeling this is going to be an expensive hobby

Cheers johnlad, appreciate it

Shop around, make calls, chap doors. I needed exactly what your looking for mate, as mine were rotten. Drove past a house with 3 Landys in the drive, chapped his door and he had a galvanised set layin out the back garden, £10. You don't get if you don't ask.

ive got the old ones i took off mine which when removed were'nt as bad as i feared, there showing surface rust but have'nt rusted through with a bit of work they could be turned into servicable items again, where abouts are you
