Steering fluid reservoirs good. So no need for any fluid. Still drips of diesel tracing from around the rear of the pump. I'll check that out Tomorrow.

If that’s as far as the adjustment will go do you know the state of the chains?

Actually looking at the picture I think there was slightly more room for adjustment. Think it was the high pressure lines stopping it's rotation any futher.

When turning the wheel or when the car is turning? If the latter, maybe a wheel bearing.

Column bearings or the little UJ at the end of the column maybe? Might be worth doing an oil change for the power steering.

Would something like that build up in noise or would the noise start suddenly? I don't remember it making this sound last time I drove it.

Just been listening to it while engine running. It's like a fast rattling noise from the front of the engine. It starts and after a while cuts off and then a starts again a few seconds later. It's definitely worse when I turn the wheels for some reason.

Check the drive belt and the roller guides.

Could be. I've got video of it but can't upload it. Just don't know why it's worse when turning the wheel.

It's had two new belts and the bearings sounded okay last time I checked. Wonder if they've just gone...

As brian38dse suggests idler pulley, tensioner pulley or bearings in the pump. As you turn the wheel the load increases on the belt and the bearings.

Spot on! I'll get onto that. I'll do it when the radiator is being changed. It shouldn't be the pump as I've just replaced that. Likely the idler & tensioner pulley. Thanks lads!
