Not sure what gunk comes out of a forklift, but lpg burns very clean. Perhaps it's residue from additives some engines need for lubrication, the rv8 will happily run on neat lpg
I've never ran LPG so I can't really comment on it.
For a V8 I don't thinks it that bad on fuel , well it's better than my dads l322 4.4 petrol ,fuel gauge moves more than the bloody rev counter.

Didn't know that LPG was still obtainable, can't remember the last time I passed a garage that sold it.
OK in cylinders & better suited to rural gas boilers & fork-lifts ;)

Thought I'd save money by having my 3.9 RRC converted to gas back in the early 'noughties .. bad mistake.
E5 for my 3.5efi plus it likes the higher octane.

Have you checked that you have not nudged the the dash dimming button, you would not be the first to have done it and stipped bits apart before finding out.
Ive just had to go check that 😂 , and no still no lights.

Off topic question ,but I don't suppose you would know where the cd multi changer goes in the P38 ? mine doesn't have one fitted and I'd like to add it.

Back story on my car it's a base model no sunroof non everything except air con and cruise control. Does have a high line BECM tho.

In the boot area to the left, behind a boot wall liner with the sub sat above it. 👍
I did have that apart when I did the non return valve and found a unused plug however someone did say it's just. Trailer electrics.

My trailor electric comes down on the right of the boot 🤔
there's something else inside the right hand one doesn't look like trailer stuff.
My owners manual says it's under the front right seat , which it isn't. Where it would go in the boot I just have two empty spaces meaning a big boot.

Personally I would like to have LPG easily available as one of my P38's came with it installed. There's far few places these day where it's available, plus whoever originally installed mine either never got the certification or it got lost between owners. I'm still gonna get it working one day though.
