Disco 2 cruise control not working

EDIT: Ignore the below if you wish, this is for my D2. I assuemed frrom the pic that this was the car you put it on. I know very little about D3s.. I should have noticed "amber light on dash" D2s don't have that!

I have to admit that my cruise control works perfectly, by the book, even allowing me to accelerate using the pedal to overtake a lorry on a motorway. Then I take my foot back off the accelerator and it will resume the previous speed.

You only need to put the switch on the side of the binnacle on once. In fact if you turn the ignition off and then restart, it'll light up again. It is in fact a bit too easy to drive around with it on all the time, the handbook tells you not to!

Also If I have been using speed control then stop using it, by using the pedals, say going round a town, and then press reset, it will go back to the speed it was last left on.

To change the speed I want it to work at I just adjust my speed as you would normally, with the accelerator, then hold it steady while pushing set. Take your foot off and there you are.

BUT, after a long time of use on a motorway it has been known to suddenly stop working. No obvious reason. Usually if I then stop, take a break and get back in it then functions again as normal. Is hasn't done this for a while now....

Best of luck with fixing it.

well it is for my D2, i dont have a D3. the amber light i mean on the cruise control button light - that is the one turning on :)

I don't think that the TB ratio can affect that but if it was remapped that might have mixed up things coz as long as you see the inputs the problem is definitely with the ECU... if you go into the Info section what you see at Cruise control position?

yes its also been remapped, so i guess that might also be it. If you are talking about the inputs i can see when i turn cruise control on or off

I meant the SET+ input in special(with CC on of course), if you see that one on command and nothing happens the only suspect i see is the ECU
