Not meSaw a rather clean looking RHD P38 on French plates on the A41 today.
Was it clean?Saw a rather clean looking RHD P38 on French plates on the A41 today.
I'm working my way through a bottle of whisky to shift this cold I've gotI keep a bottle and a couple of jackets , but not a bottle of jacks.
I think my S reg P38 had a bottle jack, but my 52 reg L322 had the nasty scissors jack, as have the others that I've had. I do't have the physical strength to operate the scissors jack; last time I tried the thing started to give way. It's simply not fit for purpose on such a heavy car. Both mine have one…… I think.
Very clean. Dark blue I think with light interior & Vogue badge on the back. Driver didn’t even turn to acknowledge my wave. Was it clean?
I have the original P38 bottle jack but prefer to carry a trolley jack. Touch wood I have never needed to change a wheel at the roadside but wouldn't be comfortable using the supplied bottle jack.I think my S reg P38 had a bottle jack, but my 52 reg L322 had the nasty scissors jack, as have the others that I've had. Once home I drove the car onto a block of 3" timber to get the wheel off the ground, set suspension to high, then tried the car-size jack also with a block of 3" timber, still not high enough to get the errant wheel up far enough, hence the use of the 12 tonne bus jack!
Definitely not mineVery clean. Dark blue I think with light interior & Vogue badge on the back. Driver didn’t even turn to acknowledge my wave.
I bought some of these that provide a much nicer light. Instead of the three LED dots there are a dozen smaller ones that give a more even light. You need a 39mm for the front & 36mm for each side at the rear.Argo on ebay. I confess I paid little heed to brightness I just wanted to reduce battery drain and hopefully get a bit more brightness. It's definitely brighter in there now so I'm pleased. Quality looks to be very good too and delivery was quick.
This was my order below.

The supplied bottle jack on mine was fine, one morning I got to work I noticed a screw head in one of the treads on the front tyre, took the wheel off, dropped it in my local tyre place, picked it up on return to depot luckily, the screw hadn't penetrated so wasn't charged, anyway point is, it was on the jack for 8 hours approx and, hadn't dropped at all.I have the original P38 bottle jack but prefer to carry a trolley jack. And the results??I popped all the festoon ones out without paying too much heed and they were all 39mm. It wasn't until I came to fit the new rears that I noticed they were a tad long but still fitted and made good electrical contact. Someone before me must have replaced them sized incorrectly.
Very good, 9 bulbs all led, all interior and 2 x puddle lamps. Boot lamp was a powerful uk sealed unit replaced last year. Durite led sealed lamp bolted to the towbar crossmember as a rev light, that's really good, should have done that ages ago.And the results??![]()
