I blame the cyclist/MTB. Lazy freaks are not using it often enough.

Used to be able to fly down there. Now you ride so close to the barb wire fence it's scary st speed

Can you break out a bow saw or is that a no-no?

You want to go Oxford way. The sign post shows the direction you need to go into a hedge to make a hole.

As for cutting lanes it would take me a week to do that section. The wilts ROW have cut some back.
May put some bush wires on.
I do carry heavy duty loppers but I don't mind my paint work.

Been on a few that join in the middle. I like them.

This closed section caused the road miles to Avebury stones.
When we drove past the gate it was stilll locked & the closure notice in place.
Can't wait to see if they do try to repair & re open. Going towards Oxford ridgeway parts are now permantly closed

Quick update.
Local lanes to Swindon will be busy Sunday due to large mountain bike event.
I’m out on mobile LR patrol collecting/repairing bikes.
Also as I’m the sweeper I get off roading without getting tired.
