P38A Anyone had luck buying Arnott springs for sensible money?

Everything from P38 spares are at rip off prices i don't expect you to get any joy there.

If it's like anything else book a flight to the USA and buy some there, they will be cheap as chips. The import duty then maybe a problem. P38 spares Gen III are £930.00 a set. Bloody ridiculous money.

I struggle to believe they sell any at that money.

The only reason anyone buys them i would suspect is for the extra travel for off roading. Which also requires other mods. So basically in lots of cases the bags shocks and sensor arm mods will cost more than the car is worth.

I'd like to believe that, except almost all the off roady p38's I've seen have been on coils. There was a blue one on YT a few years back that was heavily modded with Gen 3's and custom spring platforms, think I saw it in the carpark at one of the big LR shows. It's the only p38 that I know that runs or was running Gen 3's.

Personally I'd like them for the enhanced fast road use. I lament the fact LR never fitted ACE to the late model p38's. And a p38 is certainly a bit roly poly compared to an ACE equipped D2. The Gen 3's in the lowered mod should help avoid some of this.

Well sadly I've not had a reply at all. Shame, you'd think a vendor would potentially be interested in a group buy, even just for the exposure to a large user group on a forum such as this.

Same here. Yes, a great shame. And as you say, a pipeline straight into the enthusiasts that would then spread the word.

My Dunlops are maybe 5 or 6 years old and they already look worn. A few more years and I think they'll be on their way out.

My 8 year old Gen II's still look like new, which is more than can be said for a lot of the metal work underneath.
