Hi All, I am fitting new rings, seals, etc. I have not yet stripped down the one in the car, but I have stripped two spare ones that I have. The problem is one has 1 reed on the cylinder head and the other has 2 one eigher side of the cylinder head. I have looked on the internet and 1 video shows 1 read and another shows 2 reeds. Anyone know which one is correct

There should be a reed valve and a backing strip on both inlet and exhaust. The backing strip is set a couple of mm away from the reed valve at the toe to prevent over flexing and cracking in operation. Inlet reed should sit flat against the head with no gap. Backing strip on top of it with a gap to toe. Exhaust reed should sit square on O'ring and backing strip on top of it with gap as stated. Exhaust O'ring should be secured in it's seat with a little silicone sealant to prevent it being blown out of position.
