airbag has marks/cracks on dashboard

Hi everyone, Im new to all this, hope you can help me.

Im looking to buy a 2007 RR Sport, I noticed this marks/cracks/lines on the dashboard at the passenger side, right where the airbag is, does it mean the airbags deployed/crashed or is this normal?

Don't know about the Airbag, but from the look of those photos some Red Indian has had a go at the dash with a Bow and Arrow

The vinyl that covers the airbag panel tends to warp and split on many cars. if you think about it you wouldn't want a panel flying through the air and knocking you out.

If this has had an impact hard enough to set off the airbags you would see tell tale repair signs and impact clues. also the memory would show the date of an airbag deployment on the diagnostics.

An HPi check would also show any damage history paid out by an insurer. they can can be done for as little as a couple of pounds and sent to your phone.

Do you know if the memory can be reset or erased? I will definitely check this in any car I want to buy, but someone told me it can be reset to erase past codes..

SRS ECU has to be replaced after an fired airbag incident so how would the memory have a record?

I wouldn't know on the 2007 RR. With the systems in the porsche it's in the memory. . You can even see how many times its been red lined in it's history.. It all depends on the manufacturers parameters. .
