Hello,
Thought I'd give this a go!

I work many hours and always struggle to get a helping hand when needed,
So.
I'm looking for a fellow disco fan or Landy fan to help with the jobs that need to be done. Of course it works both ways and I shall help you in return.

I live in the dartford area of Essex.

Cheers.

Hi budda,
cant help I`m afraid but curious about your location.
sez your a Romo man, but you say your over tother side of the water?
even the best snorkal cant go under the thames ....lol

I knows that too....
used to pop past dartford to just up the road to crayford on friday nights,
but that too was when I was young(er) and foolish and reckless,
and had lotsa fun with bangers & stock cars.
then they built a damm bridge that dont work in the wind:doh:

Ha, Arena Essex

and the Dartford Tunnel, 25p to go through - will all be paid for soon !!!

had a lot of fun at Crayford dogs too

it was before arena was ever in being dipps,
our friday nights on the shale of the old stadium was the place,
muvver (mrs) was in one of the seated bars along with her mates - all the other drivers wives, getting ****ed, while us menfolk provided the entertainment...lol

oh dear, I feel a little sad now, its not that I miss the place,
just realised how long ago it was ... lol
ahem, circa 1972 onwards
actually started on mini rods, then anglia rods, till the devil made me do it,
race bangers....
must have sold my soul for banger racing...
I was THAT addicted to racing....
think arena started about 1978`ish..not sure now strangely enough...
I was "told" to give it all up in 1986,
cured by 1989 ongoing..still in denial ....lol
far too old now, had to miss the "Ollie Moran" memorial a few weeks ago,
tales of 3 mile traffic jams to get in, hundreds of old drivers all turning up for one last blast.
ALL Mk1 or MK2 granadas....
hundreds of them..lol

It`ll be on youtube..

I`ll quietly go and cry in a corner now....:violin:

Go out laning a few times, make some friends.

I moved to a new area in Spring, went to the local landy club website, organised a laning trip or two got to know some people, now I have friends to call up on and equally people I go and help out when they need a hand. :)

Ahh ok... i see your dilemma now!

Still, find a local club and go to some pub meets or something? tbh, i was lucky that the first few people i met happened to be amazing and realised I wouldn't know anyone having just moved to the area so made sure i was welcomed and they've helped me out a lot :)
